Who we are
HBCUs have never lacked defenders. What they've lacked is a single, dedicated engine for turning HBCU pride into HBCU political power. Other organizations serve HBCUs. Other PACs serve Black communities. ElectHBCU was built to do one thing: elect HBCU graduates to public office, and keep them accountable to the institutions that made them. PACs like this have existed before, however, none remain viable today. That absence is exactly the gap ElectHBCU was built to fill.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bolster the legacy and future of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) by championing the election of their graduates to public office, educating current students on the transformative power of civic engagement, and mobilizing resources to confront and resolve challenges uniquely impacting HBCU communities. Through advocacy, education, and fundraising, we aim to cultivate a generation of politically active leaders who carry the values of HBCUs into every level of government, ensuring that the voices, needs, and brilliance of these institutions are not only heard, but prioritized.
